My First Tag: Bookish Naughty or Nice

I was tagged to answer these questions by the lovely Ash of For The Love of Books – the tag was originally created by Jenn at Jenniely.com!

1.) Received an ARC and not reviewed it  ✔️
Yes, but only in the sense that I haven’t got round to reading it yet! I’ve never yet given up on an ARC.

2.) Have less than 60% feedback rating on Netgalley   ✔️
Only when I very first signed up! I’m good at keeping it around 80%.

3.) Rated a book on GoodReads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did)  ❌

No, I tend to treat them very separately. Goodreads is for first impressions and keeping lists, the blog is for full reviews.

4.) Folded down the page of a book  ✔️
I used to, but I try not to anymore!

5.) Accidentally spilled on a book  ✔️
I still remember when I was in Year 6 and dropped a sliced strawberry into a library book – I thought I was going to be banned from the library forever!

6.) DNF a book this year ✔️
Yes, all the time. There are too many amazing books to keep going with ones you hate.

7.) Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it ❌
Never! I may have been swayed into purchases because a cover was pretty, but if I’m not interested in the insides, it has no place in my home!

8.) Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework) ✔
Is this even a thing that people don’t do? Like anyone? Procrasti-reading for everyone!

9.) Skim read a book ✔
Yes, particularly if I’m dithering on whether to DNF or not – I’ll skim a few chapters to see if anything good happens to change my mind.

10.) Completely missed your GoodReads goal  ❌
I usually make it – but this is the first year I’ve actually tracked on the site, as opposed to in a book!

11.) Borrowed a book and not returned it  ✔
I moved out with a few of my mum’s copies of things… she hasn’t asked for them back yet!

12.) Broke a book buying ban ✔
Hahahaha. I’m on one right now and I’ve bought SO MANY.

13.) Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about ❌
No – I may need to check for name spellings or particular wordings, but I don’t forget what books are about!

14.) Wrote in a book you were reading ❌
No, never. I have an E. E. Cummings poetry book that I sketch in, but that’s a project in itself rather than a book for reading.

15.) Finished a book and not added it to your GoodReads ❌
Since I started using it properly, I’m obsessive about it! I love seeing that number go up!

9 out of 15 ticks… I’m a little over halfway naughty!

I’m going to tag:

Kayla @ Books and Blends

Emma @ A Dreamer’s Library

Peachy @ Book Dragon Lair

Rumour @ Rumour Reading

And anyone else who fancies doing it!
