Tag: Out Of This World Blogger

I was nominated for the Out of This World Blogger Award by Teagan at Fiction No Chaser, which is one of my favourite book blogs. The award was created by the awesome Kaleena at Reader Voracious Blog. She created this award to recognize exceptional bloggers that are engaged in the community and publish excellent content.

(I don’t read a lot of hard sci-fi, so here are some books with spacy titles!)

The Questions:

  1. What (or who) inspires you and why?

Nature, art, photography, books, people I see on the bus, my friends and family… Ideas come from everywhere!

  1. What is your favorite thing about blogging?

I’ve had blogs on and off for about 10 years – I started with a journal-type blog, then moved into fashion, beauty and perfume, and now I’m book-blogging. I love being able to share my interests and find other people who are into similar things, and I also like that writing for the purpose of blogging also makes me write more fiction, like my brain gets used to the idea of getting words down.

  1. If you could be any character in fiction, who would you be and why?

I think maybe Anne of Green Gables, because I would love the ability to be graceful and have everyone love me. But then I really would be missing out if I didn’t choose a witch character, as I would love to have magic of some kind. Oh, definitely Alanna the Lioness. Or possibly Buffy. The best thing about fiction is that you can live so many lives!

  1. If you had six months with no obligations or financial constraints, what would you do with the time?

I currently do! I have taken a year off work, and I’m using it to get enough sleep and write my first novel.

  1. What is one piece of advice that you would give a new blogger?

You have to interact with other people to get them to interact with you! Don’t just sit there in your own corner of the internet on your own; come play with us!

  1. Optional: Freebie question – share something with us!

I am obsessed with nifflers, bees, Miraculous Ladybug, tiny potion bottles and historical herbalism. If you ever want to chat about any of those, hit me up!
