It’s time for my second weekly haul already, and I’ve been fairly restrained this week! Just (ha!) seven books for your perusal today…
ARCs and Review Copies
All books in this category were provided free of charge by authors or publishers.
Relics, Wrecks and Ruins edited by Aiki Flinthart
I saw a tweet asking for reviews of this SFF anthology, put together as a last hurrah by editor Aiki Flinthart, and I couldn’t resist that line up of amazing authors. I’m looking forward to dipping into this one story at a time.
All the Tides of Fate by Adalyn Grace
The first book in this duology, All the Stars and Teeth, was a huge amount of fun, so I’m excited to see where things are going to go next – you can take a look at my review of book one if you haven’t already seen it!
A Visitor’s Guide to Jane Austen’s England by Sue Wilkes
I was just thinking I could use a good reference book about Regency life and then this conveniently popped up on NetGalley! Here’s hoping it’s what I’m after.
Jasper and Scruff Take a Bow by Nicola Colton
You know I’m always on the look out for kids’ books featuring cats, and I thought book one of the Jasper and Scruff series was brilliantly funny (my review of that is here!) – somehow I missed the release of book two, so Take A Bow is book three, but I don’t think this is the kind of series where that will be too much of an issue.
44 Tiny Acrobats by Sylvia Bishop and illustrated by Ashley King
I really enjoyed 44 Tiny Secrets so I hopped on the chance to review this sequel – Betsy and her mice are off on a circus adventure! Here’s my review of book one if you didn’t catch it the first time around, but I’m definitely keen to read on…
The Mask of Mirrors by MA Carrick
Everything about this book seems like it was written exactly to my preferences – it’s a big chonky fantasy delight full of con artists and glamorous intrigue. I can’t wait to dive in!
Purchased by me

Marshmallow Pie The Cat Superstar in Hollywood by Clara Vulliamy
I actually preordered this but thanks to… well, the world, it took a week to come after its publication date! I adored the first two Marshmallow Pie books (review here – but spoilers, they were in my top books of 2020) and I can’t wait for more – I hope this is a long-running series as Pie is just so marvellous!
(running 2021 total: 19 books in, 13 read. TBR at 510)
Meanwhile I’m sat waiting by the letter box for Mask of Mirrors despite the fact I already filmed the review XD You have some cute covers in here!
