Today I’m breaking my hiatus to take part in the blog tour for this fabulous middle grade fantasy read from James Nicol! I have not only a review, but also a guest post from James for you…
Once again, I’ve been reading a lot of fabulous middle grade, so I thought I’d bundle some thoughts all into one post, in case you’re looking for a run through recent releases! All of these books were sent to me free of charge by the publishers, but all opinions are my own.
Today I’m so happy to be helping kick off the blog tour for Sister to a Star, a new middle grade adventure full of Hollywood hijinks and sibling drama! I don’t often read middle grade contemporary, but you may or may not know that I really love behind-the-scenes stuff on films and TV shows, so Evie’s journey as a young stunt fencer was really tempting. I just finished the book over the weekend and it’s absolutely delightful – but I’m not posting a review today! Instead I have something special to show you: a letter from author Eloise Smith to her unpublished self.
You’ve heard of this book before: I was one of the stops on its blog tour back in January, where I interviewed author Amy Bond. You can check that out here, but today I wanted to actually review the book!Continue reading “Review: Morgana Mage in the Robotic Age”
Today it’s my stop on the blog tour for the witchy and STEM-focused middle grade marvellousness that is Morgana Mage in the Robotic Age! I was lucky enough to interview Amy Bond, the author, and ask her for a few behind-the-scenes tidbits about this fun book!
I was so, so excited when I saw this book, because the heroine shares my name, and that almost never happens! I spent my whole childhood hoping to see my name pop up somewhere, anywhere, but it’s taken this long for my wish to be fulfilled. Between this and The Last Namsara, my heart is full. Two wonderful heroines to add to the list of Ashas!
