By now you know I love Handheld Press and their dedication to reprinting work that has been unfairly forgotten. I was intrigued by the premise of Business As Usual, as it sounded like it might be similar to one of my favourites, Diary of a Provincial Lady – and though it’s definitely its own book, it’s just as delightful!
Though it may seem as though I tend more heavily to the fantastic or romantic in my reading tastes, I also very much enjoy a well-drawn historical novel that focuses on the history itself, so I’m excited to be helping to open the blog tour for Rachel Halliburton’s The Optickal Illusion!
An action-packed glimpse into our future, where sea levels have risen and only the wealthiest manage to live on dry land, inside the Wall…
Okay, so this ticks two of my major reading boxes – Regency romance with magic, and Garth Nix! I’ve been a fan since Sabriel, so this was a must-read for me, and it more than lived up to my expectations!
The sequel to Fallible Justice, one of my favourite books of last year (and always) – Echo Murder is even better than I’d hoped!
