You should probably know, if you’ve been here a while, that I love little more than a good fantasy of manners, and this fun novella is a great start to a new series that looks like it’ll be exactly my cup of tea!
Succulents and Spells is an adorable f/f contemporary fantasy full of sweetness, magic and monster science!
I was instantly sold on this novella the moment I heard about it – creepy English folklore and queer romance is basically my ideal read. I was thrilled to be approved for it on NetGalley, and I already know I’m going to need a hard copy!
When Gollancz offered me the chance to review the latest Brandon Sanderson, chances of me turning it down were at 0%. I love his fantasy books, and I love how prolific he is so you’re never waiting too long for the next one… Snapshot is way more sci-fi than fantasy, but it has his trademark awesome world-building and gorgeous plotting, even in only 130 pages!
