I was really in need of a lovely relaxing read, and this beautiful graphic novel about finding peace and mental healing through gardening does exactly that!
I knew very little about this book going in, other than that several of my friends had enjoyed it, but it really swept me up from the get-go!
I’m not usually one for a post-apocalyptic setting, and now might really not have been the time to read about the collapse of civilisation, but If Darkness Takes Us really blew me away with its clever and realistic portrayal of one woman trying to cope in a barely-functioning world.
I loved the first book in this spooky, magical series, and A Sprinkle of Sorcery is even better!
Belle Révolte is a tricky book to review – it has some flaws, but on the whole, I really enjoyed it!
I’m always in the mood for interesting new fantasy, but somehow I missed Soulkeeper when it first came out. With the sequel, Ravencaller, just out in March, Orbit were kind enough to send me over copies of both so I could catch up – and I’m glad they did, because Soulkeeper is a huge amount of fun!
