Epic, female-centred fantasy is something I’m always looking for, and A Queen in Hiding definitely promised a lot, with a completed story in four books each coming out only four weeks apart!
I adored The Perfect Assassin, and this companion novel/sequel really lives up to expectations!
In my review of Windwitch, I mentioned that it had taken some of the shine off the series for me – so, did Bloodwitch manage to pull things back? In short, yes!
I was hyped up for dragons, but Blood of an Exile let me down a little – it’s a classic-feeling adventure fantasy, just one a bit outdated in its representation of women.
I really loved Truthwitch (review here) – so why didn’t Windwitch live up to my expectations?
I’m late to the party on this book, but forgive me – there’s a lot to discuss in the second instalment of the A Chorus of Dragons series…
I went into this book pretty blind apart from the fact that it was about orc lesbians and necromancy – and I feel like that’s a damn good reason to pick something up!
Love assassins? Desert settings? Awkward first love? Terrifying sand spirits? Well, have I got the book for you!
